Extended Education & Outreach offers distance education programs for every level.

High School

High School

Our Independent Study High School allows high school students to earn an accredited diploma via distance learning. It also allows students to explore a wider variety of courses than may be available at their current high schools, including Advanced Placement® courses. Find out more!

College

Undergraduate Degree Completion Options allow students with an associate’s degree, or a minimum of 64 credit hours, to apply that credit toward a bachelor’s degree from UNL. Find out more!

UNL’s Independent Study
program allows UNL undergraduate students the opportunity to earn the credits they need through distance learning. If demands of their jobs and family are too great, or they just couldn’t get into an on-campus class, UNL students can take term-based (X-section) courses or sign up for open enrollment classes. This program is also great for non-UNL students, allowing them to fill curriculum gaps in their current programs. Find out more!
