Online Logistics Certificate
This unique graduate program draws on the expertise of faculty within UNL’s accredited College of Engineering. Students will have the opportunity to take advantage of the research gained from UNL’s Center for Engineering and Distribution Logistics/RFID Supply Chain Lab and Mid-America Transportation Center. Courses are offered from the Industrial and Management Systems Engineering Department.

What courses are required for the certificate?
The Logistics Certificate requires completion of four of the six graduate courses listed below, for a total of 12 credit hours. All courses are three credit hours.
- IMSE 883, Logistics in the Supply Chain
- IMSE 828, Stochastic Operations Research Models
- IMSE 881, Supply Chain Optimization
- IMSE 861, RFID Systems in the Supply Chain
- IMSE 901, TQM Using Six Sigma Skills
- IMSE 807, Project Management

Who may enroll in the Logistics Certificate?
Entrance into to the Logistics Certificate program requires:
- Admission to the UNL Graduate School
- A bachelor’s degree (math-based undergraduate degree recommended but not required)
- 2 year's work experience in the field (recommended, not required)
- Students who have not had any previous engineering coursework may be required to take courses outside of the certificate program to academically prepare for the graduate courses and/or meet any course prerequisites.
Students must complete each course in accordance with grade requirements set by Graduate Studies in order to earn the certificate of completion. Credit hours earned in the Logistics Certificate program may be applied to UNL's online Master of Engineering Program.
