Liiiibrary Access
Distance students have full remote access to electronic and print resources, liaison librarian instruction, reference assistance and delivery of materials to their home or desktop. A liaison librarian is assigned to each academic department and provides assistance with electronic resources and print materials. The liaison librarian works with students one-on-one via phone or e-mail to formulate strategies to search electronic databases and Internet resources and to use microform and print collections. Distance students may request books, photocopies of journal articles, copies of microfiche and other materials from the UNL Libraries' collections and from other libraries. Professor Kate Adams

NU ID# and Student ID Card (NCard)
All University of Nebraska-Lincoln students are assigned an NU ID# which is used for library services. You are not required to obtain an NCard. If you are a Lincoln-area distance education student, please go to the NCard office in the lower level of the Nebraska Union on the UNL campus, to receive an NCard. You may contact the NCard office at (402) 472-7331, for an appointment after regular hours to accommodate your work schedule if needed.
If you live outside the Lincoln area and would like an NCard, please contact Distance Education Services at (402) 472-5515 for instructions.
