Program Description
The Online Meat Culinology® Certificate program is based on the scientific approach to understanding food preparation and processing, and is deeply rooted in the expertise of University of Nebraska—Lincoln (UNL) researchers and faculty members.
Courses concentrate on meat science, meat culinology and food safety. Convenient online courses train professional to better understand both the science and the art of food preparation. In as little as 18 months, you can earn your certificate and gain recognition in the field.
The Meat Culinology® Certificate program is delivered completely online, meaning students can work full time and advance their education at the same time. Students go online to access courses, submit assignments, interact with instructors and classmates, and access online resources. Additional opportunities for interaction with instructors and classmates are built into the course through phone, Web conferencing and e-mail communication.
Like on-campus courses, the online classes will be taught by renowned UNL faculty, as well as industry professionals in meat scienceand food preparation. As a resaerch-based institution, UNL's faculty are doing more than just teaching courses, they're the people creating knowledge and innovative solutions to enhance the industry as a whole.
