How long will it take to earn my degree? The Fire Protection associate's degree program is set up on a three-year course rotation. Completing the degree depends on how many credit hours are taken each semester. At a pace of three or four classes per semester, the associate's degree can be completed in about three years.
Is FP a University of Nebraska program?The Fire Protection Program is taught in Omaha. The program is administered by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Office of Extended Education & Outreach. The FP program administrator and the faculty of the UNL College of Engineering/Construction Engineering Department are responsible for course and curriculum content and quality, faculty selection and granting of the Fire Protection Program associate's degree. The associate's degree in the Fire Protection Program is awarded by UNL's College of Engineering.
Where are courses taught?
All courses are taught in Omaha at the Peter Kiewit Institute.

How much are the tuition and fees?Tuition and fees are based on the UNL resident and nonresident undergraduate rates each semester for FP courses and on UNO tuition and fee rates for support courses. Some city and community fire departments provide tuition reimbursement for this program. Check with the FP administrator for current tuition and fee rates.
