Associate's Degree Program in Fire Protection
The associate's degree program sets the framework for success.
- Receive one-on-one academic advising by scheduling an appointment with the FP coordinator or engineering faculty.
- Apply the college credit you earn in the associate's degree program toward other University of Nebraska four-year degrees.
- Enter the program at the beginning of any academic semester. Courses are scheduled on a three-year cycle.
- Take advantage of a class schedule designed for you. Evening classes fit into a firefighter's unique work schedule:
Early class: 4:00-6:45 p.m.
Late class: 7:00-9:45 p.m.
FP courses are offered on a two-evening, repetitive basis so you can attend either evening based on the work shift assigned to you each week. - Complete the program in about three years, depending on whether you take three or more courses each semester.
Associate's Degree in Fire Protection ( 64 credit hours)
